From the outside looking in it may not seem like the classiest restaurant but the low prices and high-quality food make Friendlys a great Dunedin secret. At peak hours youd be lucky to get a seat.

I really started to frequent this establishment a lot this year. The staff here are so personable, they’ve almost become like relatives. The people here really take care of you. Wide selection on the menu and I’ve tried many, but I have to say that their satay dishes and noodle soups are top tier of their menu. Try either one of these and you will be hooked. The other items on the menu are not nearly as outstanding, but could be interesting if you’re wanting something different than what I’ve suggested. Prices here are very reasonable. Restaurant presentation is basic and somewhat dated but it is very cosy and it feels like you’re eating at your families’ place.
