Yamagen Japanese Restaurant

We have visited twice in the last couple of months. Amazing food and very friendly and attentive service. Love the Tepanyaki. Will be back again.

The food was absolutely amazing, and our chef put on a really good show. Definitely recommend upgrading to get the fried rice instead of the white rice. The teppanyaki vegetables were so full of flavour and the chicken/beef cooked perfectly! I would definitely go back, I'm so glad they're open again as since the Christchurch earthquakes I've missed this place!

Been dining in twice this week, food quality is consistent and fresh ingredients used which guarantees the great taste of seafood, chicken and beef! Tried tempura seafood and vegetable crispy and very taste! They used a special salad source made by the restaurant simple ingredients but simple makes it perfect! I will definitely return and bring my friends there :)

Teppanyaki bar or served at individual tables. Good range of dishes available at reasonable prices. Food was nicely cooked and service in a timely manner. Simple decor and tasteful but quiet background music that lets you talk.
