Stellar Restaurant

An overnight stay in christchurch this week gave me the opportunity to dine in this superb establishment. After trawling the streets looking for somewhere to eat, a security man pointed us to the Vic Hotel (trades as StellarRestaurant) as the best meal you will get in town. He wasn’t wrong. I went for the Surf’n’turf . It was cooked to perfection.

I had two free house wines which I was really happy about (who wouldn't be right haha). I've been there before during the day. The service was quick and the food was okay, I got beef cheeks both times and it was a bit chewy.

Clean and tidy my chocolate cake was fresh moist and sweet and my partners cheesecake was generous sized both were made well and our coffee was hot

Have been or two or three times and always had a pleasant experience. Food is delicious and well presented, the choc lava cake is a must try! Lovely atmosphere with the twinkling ceiling too.

Food was below average as was the service we received. Staff just didn't seem to care what so ever and we were left waiting for ages. Very disappointing as it looks like such a neat place. Wont be coming back.
