Salerno Motels/Apartments

Fully equipped motel which is very suitable for family or group of people planned to stay in christchurch. A bit far from centre but very comfortable place and quite to stay.

We booked this motel because of its location near Strawberry Fare restaurant but the road noise has meant we will never return. At about midnight both nights a convoy of boy racers started circling the block around the motel and it literally felt like they were in our room (which was actually at the rear of the complex). I have since been told that this is a regular weekend occurrence. The owners should really speak to the council about this as it is a serious deterrent for rebooking. Motel unit was a bit tired but was reasonably priced.

Lovely modern units with great helpful staff but the lack of maintenance over time let these motels down. Our window would not shut so the road noise kept us awake. A broken basin in the bathroom, mouldy window sills, loose lid on the toilet and ripped duvet will put me off from coming back. A pity as all could be easily avoided.
