Psychiatric Care & Consultancy (Dr Dominic Lim) is a psychiatry provider. We have served customers in the Canterbury region and in the South Island and have been a trusted provider for 18 years. Dr Dominic Lim is a senior consultant psychiatrist with a wide range of clinical experience in both adult and old-age psychiatry. He has worked in both community, rural and inpatient settings, mainly in Christchurch but also in other parts of New Zealand. Apart from managing the common general psychiatric conditions, he also has special interests in addiction psychiatry, psychotherapy and geriatric psychiatry. The Practice mainly provides psychiatric assessment with limited personal short-term follow up capacity, with a personalised approach. Dr Lim works with GPs and other psychological service providers closely. A referral from GP is needed although personal inquiry is welcome. Scope of service includes: psychiatric assessment, case or clinical supervision, cognitive and capacity assessment, professional competency assessment, immigration psychiatric assessment, pharmacotherapy and medication review, second opinions, Mental Health Act assessment, specific contract work, legal work & insurance work.
