In Step Footwear

I wasn't impressed with the after sales service. I purchased Clarks shoes for 3 year old boy for $70 in January. We've bought lots of Clarks shoes and never had an issue. They only had a limited amount of wear as he was mostly wearing sandals. The rubber on the toes is very soft. The toe cap started rubbing off. I went back into the store in May. They told me it was only related to how my boy was wearing the shoes. They said they would contact the Clarks rep and get back to me.

They didn't call me. I called them today and I was told that the rep in Oz had looked at a photo on the internet. They had decided it was how he has worn the shoes not a fault with the shoes. What really annoyed me is the staff member told me we had purchased cheaper shoes ($70) so should look at more expensive european options. Who has more than $70 to spend on shoes for a 3 year old? They told me they would contact the rep again but didn't like my chances.

Unless something happens I won't be going back again.

In step is a lovely wee store, the staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! They measure the kids feet, so as any mum would know this makes buying shoes so much easier.

Visited here today. The ladies were lovely and helpful. They sell Bobux, Clarks, Asics and other good brands.

Purchased an expensive (over $80) pair of shoes for my two year old yesterday. Realised when we got home they were too narrow for his feet and hurt. So took them back this morning and they flat out refused to take them back as they pulled out the insole and there were toe marks on them. I am disgusted as they were worn for less than an hour. This is the second time I have been let down by this store and I made the mistake of trusting them again. Do not shop here!!!
