What Makes Us Different
The airport is a major driver of the South Island regional economy, with some 6000 personnel working on the airport campus making it the largest site of employment in the South Island. It is one of the partners in the "South" initiative, which sees all 15 regional tourism organisations working collegially to promote the South Island.

With the majority of renovations done Chch Airport really is one of the better ones! Well laid out and really easy to move between terminals with good food options. Also lots of carparking available which can be viewed and even booked online before you travel

This is now a very modern airport with excellent facilities. As a Cantabrian I'm very proud to have this airport as the first impression to visiting travellers. I find the range of parking options really good, quite pricey but that's too be expected at airports.

I love Christchurch airport. It's well planned and set up in a way that isn't confusing if you've never been there before. The staff are happy to provide directions, advice and maps. I love the mural down by baggage claim - it's a real Kiwi touch. Just a shame you can't use the observation deck anymore.
