Blackball Hilton (Formerly The)

The beer was pretty good too. When we arrived there was a local standing outside having a quiet beer - beard and all - we knew this place was great immediately. Chatted to him for a while - very dry sense of humour.

Awesome pub in Blackball, has a lot of character, the staff (owners) are friendly and always up for a chat. The lunch meals are yummy - they do awesome pies and burgers. Not a great range of beers on tap though

Lovely old pub with great character and friendly staff. We went there expecting the menu to be a typical pub meal to find they have a slightly more refined menu. Despite being in the mood for a burger and fries which wasn't on the menu the meals were still great and cooked very well.

Grand little old kiwi style hotel. More of a pub. Great range of drinks the owners and staff are lovely. They have food if you feeling so inclined and it has a nice central location. Worth going to if you are ever down this way.

Kinda wound up here by accident, but the beers in the sun, the conversations with locals and owners, and the wonderful dinner and excellent service made it a great pleasure. Aiming to go back!!
