Wagamama New Lynn

Ive dined at other wagamama chains before and thought that I would have the same experience here. Wrong. Service was super slow, the chef was even slower, and from the time that we sat down to when we got our meal, an hour had passed already! Thats not ok and it shouldnt take that long to get a dish out. Wont be back here in a hurry.

We like the entrees here - and order a bunch of them (like tapas but with an asian flavour) - it's not cheap, but its quick, flavourful and fun - the teens love it and we can easily feed the coeliac in our midst.

When we came here I had never had Japanese food before so I was a bit apprehensive I wasn't going to like it but now this is one of my favourites. This place has such yummy food and it came out very quickly, and the restaurant had a good atmosphere

Definitely not as bad as some of the other reviews.
The service has improved a lot, our waiter was attentive, kind and quite funny too! Made the whole dining experience much more pleasant and personal. They wrote numbers on our place mats to sort out who had which dish which is a well organized plan!
We ordered drinks first, 2x Blueberry spice, a peach iced tea, a vital smoothie and green tea. My mum decided to be difficult with the green tea and kept asking for a bigger cup and more refills, I guess it was a pretty small cup, but our waiter was incredibly patient with her and ended up finding a pot for her.
