The Culpeper

Nice staff here, cozy place.The food was beautiful. I ordered the cold smoked salmon which just melted in your mouth. All of my other friends enjoyed their meals. One ordered the ribs, she said there wasn't enough meat on each of them but being that you get a huge order it didn't seem to bother her. The vegetarian menu comes out on request which seems a little strange to have it separate. The desserts were a little bit of a let down. I had the key lime pie. The filling was lovely and rich but the crust was a little burnt.Worth to try. Will be back.

We had an amazing lunch at Culpeper, we enjoyed tasting plates and beautiful NZ wine, whilst sitting in the sun on the harbour. The staff were helpful and informative, seriously a great spot to stop.

Nice restaurant with super friendly attentive service. The food tastes great. Highly recommend the salmon from the bigger plates and the tuna poke. The decor is fairly simple, could use a bit more touch to give a full dining experience, but otherwise very good restaurant.

I ordered a steak sandwich and it was very nice as the flavours of the steak , onion, cheese and salsa verde all went very well together . The sandwich and fries were definitely fulfilling for me and to end my meal I ordered the pie of the week which was a chocolate hazelnut pie which came with a scoop of icecream which I chose vanilla. The pie was definitely a very generous slice and couldn’t finish it all so may be good to share with another person after a meal. Prices are abit on the expensive side and wish I got more fries with my sandwich.

This place reminds me of a Caribbean beach home, the decor reflects that. The seafood menu is a must, the kids are well catered for, they especially enjoyed the Pork Belly corn dogs, even we had to order some! Reminds me of a posh version of the Easter show hot dogs. The home made key lime pie is really addictive!
