A lovely and pleasant local Japanese restaurant in Manukau. Reasonably priced and such a high standard of food. I'm in love with their sashimi and vegetable tempura. The bento dinner boxes are a must try for first time patrons. Highly recommended!

I was looking for some Japanese restaurants in manukau and came across sakai.been to Kyoto. .mmmmmm.anyway..first impressions...great japanese ambience..loved the private booths. .selected one for myself n partner.instant service which was great..I selected chicken tray akin dinner boss n extra sashimi n partner had spicy pork..The portions were great... The pricing excellent n the saki was hot!!.plus byo w a bottle of Saudi gnome added to a great value n experience. Thank you sakai..I will b back n I recommend a booth w friends..u won't b disappointed

A bit pricy for a Japanese restaurant in manukau but quite happy with the portion size. Small place, and limited menu

We came here with a few people and they were so lovely to accommodate the amount of people we had. The food was very delicious!! Prices are very affordable and they provide great service! I would come back for sure, nice easy location with plenty of parking

I ate the lunch box with some side dishes and loved it! Definitely coming here again loved the teriyaki sauce and good calm environment with subtle music
