It was our first visit and we weren’t expecting the place to be this fancy. Beautiful view, large chandeliers and spacious dining area. However our waiter was too casual, almost near the line of being rude. We asked about Zomato Gold and he said lobster and oysters aren’t included. We asked what the price of oysters are anyways and the answer was “I just said oysters aren’t included”. Gee, so we can’t even just order and pay them?

However we felt better after tasting the prawn entree. It was delicious with all elements complimenting each other - tangy carrot, delightful brussel sprouts and potato dumplings. John Dory that the waiter praised wasn’t up to our expectation. A bit fishy because of the skin and risotto was mushy and didn’t taste good. My eye fillet was good and accompanying side of charred broccolini was delicious. My husband wasn’t full so he ordered another entree - mushroom risotto. My oh my. This was heavenly and we would’ve regretted not ordering this. It was full of mushroom flavours and seasoned to perfection. Each bite of mushroom was delightful. We ended the night with creme brûlée but it was just too plain and simple.

Overall, I would describe this restaurant to be near Michelin star with a service of Denny’s.

I went to SAILS restaurant for a birthday party. The seafood is amazing, the salmon and oysters are really fresh. Also really tasty desserts. The staff are very pleasant and helpful!

Fresh seafood, excellent views and friendly staff! One of the best meals I have had so far in Auckland.

For starter we shared a sashimi plate. Everything was topped off with a lovely bubbly.
Service was good, waiter attentive. I had three clams and two had nothing in it. The waiter got the chef to cook three more. They were yum!
Décor is very nice, view of the harbour bridge.

Ate here last night, with friends. It was probably the most expensive restaurant we've been to in New Zealand. The food was good, no faults. But nothing wow. The portions were small. We ordered two mains and a starter because of the price and could have used more food, but still spent over 100 bucks. It's a nice location but have had better for less money on this trip
