Saan

Ok food but our lamb curry was served almost cold. They replaced it promptly with a hot one. We enjoyed all the food except the deep fried snapper (apparently a favourite). I thought it was over cooked and the leaves (wraps) it was served with were a bit limp. Wouldn’t order again as was $50 plus and I feel very over rated. Desserts were very tasty and we all liked them.

This is my family's go to restaurant, we go atleast twice a month and have NEVER had a bad experience. The chicken noodles and massaman curry are a must! The wait staff are incredible and are very talented at their job

Service is friendly, informed and not in your face. Very professional.Decor may be a little tired but it didn't detract from a fabulous family meal.

If you are a huge fan of Thai food like me, then you definitely need to check Saan out. This Northern Thai restaurant is situated in the heart of Ponsonby and ticks all the boxes. It is nice and spacious, staff are incredibly attentive, food is fantastic and comes in a timely manner and the decor gives the place incredibly relaxing vibes. The owners of Saan also own Cafe Hanoi and Xuxu Dumpling Bar – two places that have been on my checklist for awhile.

Came here for a work dinner. The private room was spot on and the staff super friendly and helpful. Had the set menu, the food was amazing and so much of it for the price. Great variety! And the vegan dishes were mouth-watering
