Orphans Kitchen

We went with a large group to Orphans Kitchen and had such a wonderful night. The food was absolutely stunning especially the octopus and the monk fish. We also really loved the simplicity but deliciousness of the sour dough, garden salad and kumara fries as our sides. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We had a fussy eater with us and the waiter and the kitchen worked together with us to ensure they also had a delicious meal. The wine recommendations made to us were superb. The atmosphere was light and happy and I love the wood dominated quirky decor. Would highly recommend.

Good service, cosy interior and great ambience.I had the swordfish congee which was delicious. There was so much texture and richness to this dish. My Mum had a deceptively simple looking spinach on toast dish which she described as very tasty.Worth to try. Will be back.

We all had the “feasting menu” everything was absolutely delicious. Could not my favorite between the octopus taco, the lamb or the oysters! Good old kiwiana food with a spin. We very much enjoyed our experience here and we will be back.
