Orphans Kitchen

We went for breakfast. My husband had the mince on toast, was really average and needed something. I had the crumpets, which brought a little bit of life into the room. Star of the meals were the eggs! Cooked a bit differently. Made it a bit special.
Service was nice enough. Probably wouldn’t return.

I had the brisket with mashed Kumara and it was so tasty and filling. A hearty meal that will warm your belly.

Good service. Food was out standing. Good sized portion. Decor very modern and simple. We had the Spinach silverbeet and Acai bowl. All taste not bad. The coffee was prefect. Recommend.

Huge disappointment, our broccoli was way too sour, too much vinegar, almost impossible to eat. The crumpets had no taste, the poached eggs came with just a tiny piece of burnt bread and the caneles were completely burnt. Completely overpriced.

We went with a large group to Orphans Kitchen and had such a wonderful night. The food was absolutely stunning especially the octopus and the monk fish. We also really loved the simplicity but deliciousness of the sour dough, garden salad and kumara fries as our sides. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We had a fussy eater with us and the waiter and the kitchen worked together with us to ensure they also had a delicious meal. The wine recommendations made to us were superb. The atmosphere was light and happy and I love the wood dominated quirky decor. Would highly recommend.
