Mamak Malaysian Restaurant

Great food, but always very busy in the afternoon. And definitely try out roti and mee goreng

We arrived as soon as they'd opened one Saturday to avoid any queues, and although we were the first ones there, the restaurant very quickly filled up! We really enjoyed their Indonesian fare - it was beautifully presented, and it was brought out speedily.

Definitely a really nice place and obviously in a nice location.Their special sauce is not too strong with just the right amount of seasoning and spices. The prawns are perfectly cooked, not over nor under. The portion size is also very big; even though I eat quite a lot, after finishing this I was quite full.Will be back try something else.Recommend.

Great food, tried the satay chicken & mee goreng and couldn't fault it!!

I have been to Mamak a few times and I would say it is one of the best Malaysian restaurants in Auckland. The laksa is enormous (I have never finished it) and all the other meals I have tried are also generous in size. They make their own roti fresh everyday and it is fantastic. I recently branched out from my usual laksa and tried the beef rendang and chicken murtabak. Both were good but not as good as the laska.
