Ken Yakitori Bar

Love a great Yakitori place, this one does all the classics really well and have a really wide drinks menu as well. Food is super delicious and a fun atmosphere.

Ken Yakatori is one of my all time favourite places to eat out. This is a cosy little bar/restaurant in Meadowlands, tucked away behind a block of shops.
The food is fantastic!! It is light (as all Japanese restaurants are) and it is TASTY!
I recommend Beef Tataki, Tuna Sashimi, Chicken Karaage and the skewers... any skewers they are all YUM!
In terms of price the price isreasonable. There are some cheapy dishes and also some more expensive so you can take the kids along for a cheap $10 Teriyaki well Mum and Dad enjoy the finer tasting Sashimi boats.
The owner here is very very particular, although he seems very tense and angry because of his fussy tendancies he always takes time to greet every one of his customers and say goodbye too.
Overall highly recommended to all!!

Unfortunately did not enjoy my meal at all. The meal was incredibly authentic and probably quite true to the origin of Japanese food but it was just too many odd and different flavours for my liking.

cozy little place walking from my place.. so we are quite regular.. Their Karage chicken is amazing.
