Jack Tar

Cool atmosphere for drinks with friends, but the food is nothing to celebrate. Wait staff were alright.

Best place for great food any time of the day or night. Good portions of food and our summer go to place. Cocktails are incredible aswell. Amazing service and lovely staff

there used to be absolutely no where to get brunch on north wharf. now there are a few options and jack tar is pretty good. bacon and egg burger with hash browns is a great way to kick off the weekend.

I've got to say that I was hugely disappointed with my experience at Jack Tar. My mates and I arrived there around 8pm on a Saturday night and it was busy, but not absolutely slammed. Nevertheless, we had to wait an hour for our food and not once during that time did our waitress ever come back to us and offer to get us another drink or even bring us some water. It's a shame because although the food and atmosphere was good, it wasn't worth the wait. To Jack Tar's credit, when we complained to the manager he was very nice about the whole thing and apologised profusely.

So far have only had a breakfast meal here. Had the hotcakes, really enjoyed them as they were simple and tasty. Will definitely be back to try out their lunch and dinner menus.
