Golden Horse Restaurant

Not to be confused with the Golden Horse Takeaways next door which is a different business. Have been there for dinner a few times. Cantonese style cuisine with large dishes for sharing. Tasty and good for a group of people.

This place has been around for a long time. Whatever it is doing, it is surviving. Have been every now and then throughout the years and quite frankly nothing to rave about. Everything being the food, service, ambiance, is ok.

Excellent takeaway. Always cheap and reliable.

The food we ended up with was delicious however we were told they had no roast pork and no crispy chicken wings which was a bit of a let down as i was super keen for the pork. Service was ok and the meals were timely to arrive. I enjoyed the wontons and the sweet and sour pork dishes. The crispy prawns were average. It was a Monday night dinner. Wish i could've had some roast pork as it is amazing usually.

Good food that didn't take too long. Really good sweet n sour pork and deep fried prawns! Restaurant isn't very flash and is a much older establishment. Staff were helpful but not very friendly. Pricing was average.
