Giapo Ice Cream

Absolutely love how experimental they are with the flavours. It is truly an experience!

They have moved their ice cream shop from queen street, but it didn't stop them inventing new flavours. I have tried it once and it was amazing, I could try different taste of ice cream before buying it and every flavour was delicious and I couldn't pick which to eat. It was around $10 with cereals and cookies with the ice cream. The staff was also very friendly. It was truly taste of New Zealand.

Giapo is almost a must-do for anyone going to Auckland central. The ice creams are AMAZING. It is so common to see people taking photos of the food before they eat it (they are a work of art) and they taste great too with some unusual artisan flavours. Now for the reason it isn't 5/5...they are victims of their own success and have major problems managing queues of visitors. It isn't uncommon to wait quite a long time. They have been trying to fix this with a window for those who know what they want up front but allowing people to taste before you buy is partly the reason for long delays. But all said, yes I'd go back - off peak if possible.

Vast variety of ice-creams you can every get anywhere in auckland, the best so far i have tried has to be organic flavours of ice-creams.
Every time a great experience not only with ice-cream but also the passionate people running the business.
