Devonport Stone Oven Bakery & Cafe

I probably come here once or twice a year so it has been a while. I get the impression that maybe the business has changed hands. The food on the counter still looks good and the food/drink I ordered was decent too (price was comparable to others). The reason for marking down the Stone Oven is THERE IS A LOT OF SPARROW FAECES THROUGHOUT THE INSIDE OF THE RESTAURANT! The backs of all chairs are seemingly affected and need to be cleaned...it gives the impression of uncontrolled hygiene issues...there are a number of sparrows inside and they even go behind the counter so I wouldn't order food which is in the open for that reason...other than this, it would get 4 stars.

Great bread and lots of choice from the counter food. Cooked breakfast was pretty average slow to arrive and a bit cold but i would go again and try something else

Nice menu. Good selection but generally overpriced in my opinion. 2 eggs and toast expensive and soup of the day was overpriced especially as the bowl was so small. Garlic bread which came with it was an afterthought...forgot to bring it out. Mango magic was however very tasty!

Our favourite brunch spot over the bridge, plenty of cabinet food to choose from for everyone! Recommend.

Attractive interior up a side street. Appealing range of full sandwiches, salads pies and quiches. Pavement tables.
