Staff are friendly and prices were reasonable but this place used to have a much nicer vibe. The happy hour prices were really good but it's definitely a pub for the lads as we were the only group of women in there and it was full.

I found the menu here reasonably priced, the food was good without being anything outstanding

Lovely spot for brunch. Ordered the spiced heirloom cauliflower, scrambled eggs, curry leaf, roasted chilli, with housemade flatbread. It was seasoned differently, and it worked really well. The atmosphere of the place was beyond fitting. Its a very busy place, but people are coming in and out at a regular pace. Definitely worth my money. Would come again.

You can't bear the Full Borough breakfast...great service and perfect location overlooking the city

This small bar, nestled in a group of shops with its very own bus stop in Pt Chevalier, offers a lot of fun for locals. One of the highlights here is the regular Sunday Karaoke session, which starts about 530pm and attracts some of Auckland's best karaoke singers. Other nights you'll find sports tv playing, or sometimes other entertainment.

Bar prices are pretty standard here, with a ginger beer at $5, a glass of wine about $6-$8, and a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc at about $30. There are pokie machines available should you wish to try your luck - you might win some dollars to pay for your drinks.

Food here is nice, but I personally find it a little expensive. Garlic bread is only $4 a portion however, and is good value. Typical meals are $20+, which is hard to stomach when nearby fast food venues (KFC, Mc Donalds, and a takeaway) can all feed you for about $7 per head. Still, the bar has its own ambience, and you might find yourself willing to purchase the food regardless of price, especially if you're drinking.

It's a nice cosy English-style pub, great for afternoon drinks with friends. There's an indoor area for dining and drinking, and a smaller outside area for those who like fresh air, or wish to smoke.
