General Info
Butterfly Creek are proud to host NZ's only giant saltwater crocodiles - the world's apex predators. Complimenting these reptiles is our magnificent tropical butterfly house, cotton-top tamarins and other reptiles such as the bearded dragon and alligators. We also host NZ's giant wetapunga - one of the world's largest insects and an aquaria and bugs exhibit including tarantulas. Beside the courtyard and playground, take a wee train ride around the new Dinosaur Kingdom that opened in Jan 2014 - see the dinosaurs come to life! Last but not least is Buttermilk farm where you can get up close and personal with the cute and cuddly animals. Butterfly Creek hosts fantastic all-inclusive children's parties and we run a behind the scenes Junior Keeper programme for those animal lovers. Animal encounters occur daily and we are open every day except Xmas & Boxing day and we are 50% undercover so don't let the rain put you off! We are situated 2 minutes from the Airport and provide a free shuttle service to and from the airport.

Really beautifully set out wildlife park with plenty to see and learn about. The staff offer free airport shuttles from the Auckland International Airport too and they have a safe room to put your suitcase so you can relax - it's especially handy if you have a long layover. Thought the croc enclosures could be a little bigger

Great activity for a Sunday afternoon - there's lots to see and do for children and adults. It's definitely somewhere we'll visit again.

airport collection was great, how ever there was lots of parts of the farm that were run down and flooded due to rain, whilst it was a fun hour and a half it was expensive for what it was and i probably wouldn't visit again
