Brew On Quay

Service was excellent. Attentive and friendly.
The food was pretty good, but nothing special. The chips were a standout. The pork ribs, while meaty, didn't have that really special rib flavour you hope for and would be better served as individual ribs, I think. The burgers were tasty. The pie also got a positive review. All meals were of a good size.
The drinks range here is pretty good, as you would expect. The price of a 330mL regular tuatara brew at $13 is pretty high. The beer paddle is reasonable value and a good way to try a few different fizzy drinks

Huge range of craft beer, highlight of the night was definitely the "VPA" on tap by garage project

This is one of very few pubs in Auckland (and maybe New Zealand) with genuine character and history.. it used to be a maritime police station and retains many historic features, along with a huge range of beers (over 100). It can be a little pricey because of this range often being bottled. Food has always been to a decent standard but plays second fiddle to the ambience.

We rented out the upstairs venue for a friends birthday and it was perfect. We had our own bar and toilets so it was like renting out a whole bar. Staff were great and looked after us

Brew boasts a massive range of international, craft- and micro-brewed beer. Inside, it's as a good pub should be: warm and social, with plenty of seating and live sport on the TVs.
