The meal was excellent we had a lovely anniversary dinner, desert and champagne. Service was very attentive and friendly.

For the perfect afternoon meandering around the waterfront, we stopped into Botswana Kitchen for wine and cheese platter and were treated to excellent hospitality, a deception of delicious Australasian and further abroad wines. With a selection of NZ cheeses including Opiki Ma soft goat’s cheese, A Cheese With No Name sheeps soft cheese and Mt Eliza Blue Monkey Stilton blue cheese served squid ink ciabatta, water crackers with honeycomb, fig jam and candied walnuts, it was exquisite!

Really enjoyed a good meal for 2 here - but cost about $170. Bottled water $10, cheapest bubbles $60, mains about $40 each - which were tasty, simple. Big enough - but not huge.

Service was friendly - but not overly attentive - but this was on a Sunday night which may have had an impact. Nice views of the water. Popular eating place - and easy to see why. Would return.

The restaurant is beautifully appointed, big comfy chairs and chic decor. Our waitress provided good service and was very thoughtful. Based on us sharing plates, she moved us to a bigger table so we could be comfortable.

My dinner started with selection of bread, followed by rack of lamb, finishing with a chocolate fondant. What I like about Botswana Butchery is that they fundamentally lean towards the traditional. If the listed menu does not appeal, one can select from a list of cuts/meats and fish, sauces and sides to customise a plate. Clearly, the chef also had impressive cooking skills since all the dishes came out superbly cooked. Both lamb and fish seared just right, pink where it should be, charred in the right spots and delicious as hell. I was very impressed with the texture of the chocolate fondant, because it was soft and pillowy on the outside with the right amount of gooey inside.
