Best Ugly Bagels

I'm not normally a bagel fan but these are outstanding. Mean Joe Green (which is bacon and avocado) is the absolute best!

Staff are friendly and the cinnamon and raisin bagels a the best bagels in Auckland but are kind of expensive.

I was really looking forward to my visit to Best Ugly due to all the great reviews it had. And granted, it wasn’t horrible but I guess it was just a little overrated in my opinion. I ordered the tuna melt which I found to be way too salty, but next time I will try other bagels.

This was the most electrifying and terrifying experience of my life - all because I wanted a bagel (which I didn't even really need). The front eating area looks alright, please note that the music is already at talking volume outside, but wow when you get inside - everything is madness. First of all, the music is at shouting volume. Speaking of shouting, that's exactly what the guy on the till was doing - SCREAMING the orders. I think this was to indicate they were either ready or just had been ordered. It seemed like a habit that had gone quickly from an inside joke at the place to a gimmick, and you could tell because the other staff were just not into it. Even at the front of the line, I stood for more than a minute watching him do things on the till, screaming random fillings the whole time without making eye contact. I think I blacked out during the ordering process but I remember another guy flinging bagels into the ear and me flinching. This was too much and I never want to hear the word HUMDINGER ever again.
