Auckland Zoo

Love the grounds here, and the walk in aviary. the seals have a big pool to dive in and out of too. a real treat for children and adults and an opportunity to get close to animals that aren't native to NZ. Take a tram from Motat.

Staff are always lovely. Dissapointing that a lot of the enclosures were closed or under renovation.

Great place to take the kids, the whole complex looks great. The Australian area looks amazing with the new uplift.

This place is great to take children in the school holidays or on the weekend. It has many different animals that you can see, with different activities happening with animals many times throughout the day. If you haven't been before, I suggest that you go and check it out with friends or family.

I'm not a huge fan of zoos but Auckland Zoo is the best I have ever visited. Their conservation efforts and affiliated programs are exceptional, and the animals are given lots of engaging enrichment which is lovely to see.
Good facilities, although the car park fills up very quickly on good days!
