Auckland Zoo

Hours and hours of sight and animal seeing, although it can get tiring if you're here for a full day. They have lots of interactive stuff for children, and plenty of walking space. Wish they had more shady spots around as it can get really hot in the middle of summer.

Love the move towards aiming for more 'natural' (less cage) environments for the animals where possible. There's been ongoing development with this in mind in recent years. Wish they had a half day pass for kids (at 4 they can tire pretty quickly).

Booked out their party room for my sons birthday yesterday, and it was really good. A bit on the expensive side, but the kids got hot meals which was served really quickly, and had a blast the rest of the day walking around the zoo exploring all there is to explore. The staff make it entertaining and are really lovely towards the party kids. I highly recommend it.

lovely day out. sad to see no hippos but gardens and new enclosures looking amazing

We recently visited the Auckland Zoo with our children and we had the best day! The enclosures are so natural looking and the zoo is easy to move around. Although there is a lot of construction, it brong excitement and we can’t wait to see what is coming next!
