Bedrock Bar & Stonegrill

Went for a meal here three weeks ago, was brilliant, great food, great service and great prices....going back tonight with friends, would recommend to anyone looking for a great meal Nic, Ashburton

Great venue with an inviting fireplace 4 winter. Outdoor dining in summer is really good also. A fave off the menu would b the roast vege wrap. Wish they had better cabinet food though. Sumtimes just feel like a muffin or scone with ur hot drink & r none. The slices r sml & over priced. Also once had a smoothie & the waitress drank what did'nt fit in my glass that kind of annoyed me.

Whilst visiting my daughters in Ashburton (early Dec 13) (from the North Island) I dined at the Bedrock Bar on three occasions at different sittings, I would have eaten their for the full 5 days of my stay, if I had my way. The food and prices were very reasonable but most of all, the staff and their service was outstanding and really the reason why I kept going back, you are a credit to the industry and management.

Nice stonegrill meal. We were a large group and all meals came out at same time. Good spot for kids and meals were tasty

We enjoyed a great meal at Bedrock, however I do agree that the service is slow and we were "forgotten" two or three times during the evening. We don't mind the slower time as we are happy to sit and chat - after all, we were there to enjoy an evening out while having a meal. The food is excellent. Hubby had a chicken dish that he was very happy with it. Our friend just had a steak sandwich - it was the best steak sandwich we've ever seen. I thoroughly enjoyed the steak on a stone grill - what a nice way to have it! Coleslaw dressing was a bit tasteless, but everything else was delicious. Coffee was good, too. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. A nice atmosphere in the restaurant and a lovely place for a special night out.
