Bedrock Bar & Stonegrill

Shocking, have dined here twice now. Both times have been slow, the food was most appaling, cheap cuts if neat with tasteless side dishes at the price of what you would expect to be a nice meal. Perhaps variety would be appropriate on their menu. I have been to many different stone grills this one was by far the worst, and the most expensive.

Have not seen any appetizing dish other then the preordered deserts where atleast the time has been taken to attemp presentation.

Would not reccomend to anyone nor would I dine here again. Absolute letdown.

Whilst visiting my daughters in Ashburton (early Dec 13) (from the North Island) I dined at the Bedrock Bar on three occasions at different sittings, I would have eaten their for the full 5 days of my stay, if I had my way. The food and prices were very reasonable but most of all, the staff and their service was outstanding and really the reason why I kept going back, you are a credit to the industry and management.

We enjoyed a great meal at Bedrock, however I do agree that the service is slow and we were "forgotten" two or three times during the evening. We don't mind the slower time as we are happy to sit and chat - after all, we were there to enjoy an evening out while having a meal. The food is excellent. Hubby had a chicken dish that he was very happy with it. Our friend just had a steak sandwich - it was the best steak sandwich we've ever seen. I thoroughly enjoyed the steak on a stone grill - what a nice way to have it! Coleslaw dressing was a bit tasteless, but everything else was delicious. Coffee was good, too. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. A nice atmosphere in the restaurant and a lovely place for a special night out.

Nice stonegrill meal. We were a large group and all meals came out at same time. Good spot for kids and meals were tasty

Just moved to Ashburton and this place us already our favourite. Can't beat the 2 for 1 stonegrills on Tuesdays!
