The Gold Nugget

I don’t normally care too much for jewellery shops but this place was worth a visit to have a look at the examples of gold nuggets that have been collected out of the river. There were some reasonably nice arrangements of flakes inside pendants.

Lovely shop. Great background music. However, the lady at the cashier (who's the owner of the store) was so unprofessional towards my husband!
When he was paying for his items (in NZ Dollars) he asked as a joke, if she received Australian Dollars. Her reply was the most disgusting thing that I have ever heard in New Zealand coming from a retailer. She said:
"Australian money?? NO! we don't accept any rubbish here!"
Even if she was "joking", it's really NOT THE WAY to treat customers. So ungrateful! Thanks to people like us (tourists) her business can survive.
I suggest that she must do a refresher course in customer service. And if you are Australian, don't joke about ANYTHING if you don't want to get picked on by her.
Shame on you.
I regret that I have sent my money in your shop.
