Dinner & drinks with my wife was a perfect night. Food is amazing & the service is unique in that its outstanding. Great range of Whiskeys & knowledgeable staff make the night one to remember.

sashimi was very fresh and presented beautifully. Also had the fried squid which was delicious. Will certainly be back given the delicious food and outstanding service.

Great place to go with a friends or another couple and order lots of the menu to share & enjoy different dishes. Also good value lunches for $17. Good wine menu. Specialises in whisky so many to try if your inclined

Tried Saikou for the first time with a family member. We went in for the $17 lunch. I ordered the garlic prawns which were nice. One small bowl of rice and one of salad came with the meals orderd but were shared between us. (A bowl of rice each would have been more ideal though.)
Not much to choose from on the lunch menu that is gluten free. Very friendly helpful service. Nice atmosphere to dine in. Situated up on the bay hill. Street parking nearby or upstairs from Kathmandu..

Beautiful Japanese food done they way it should be.
Huge variety of drinks, with some specialist craft brewed beers.
Intimate setting which takes you out of Timaru for a small while.
