      When I was 13, (Roughly 13 years ago) I saved up all my coins and went to this hairdressers and asked for them to straighten my hair with a GHD. Not only did the not straighten it well (I literally had people telling me it didn't look straight), but they still charged me full price ($30). That was weeks of pocket money, to this day I am still sad looking back at it.
