Crown Workspace Nelson

My piano is permanently damaged by Crown. Although I even paid extra $170 for the packaging it was not even intact when it’s arrived and because of that my piano was badly damaged. I was told by the company representative that their job is moving goods from left to right however they have no responsibility for the condition of the goods. Does he mean they don’t care how they handle their clients precious furniture etc as long as they move them? Why did they ask me to pay the extra packaging if it doesn’t even protect the goods? I don’t recommend them at all if you want move your precious items safely.

With lots of assurances of excellent service by thier local representative we confidently entrusted our entire house contents to Crown on recent relocation from NZ to Rarotonga. All went smoothly, or so we thought until some items were unwrapped. Some items smashed but we had packed those boxes and damage minor . Sadly one of our big items , fridge freezer, was unwrapped from its single skin packaging done by Crown to shown 10 severe dents in it .Un repairable and unuseable in our kitchen. We had opted to basic cover after Sandy extolled the virtues of the services packing and care door to door. More fool us for believing her. When we sent photos of the item in question we were basically told we were lying as the item had dents before packing and was packed according to Crown outline. Even when I was able to send a photo of the item prior to dispatch showing not a single dent and the after phots this ws denied and the word of the incompetent staff taken against me.
Do not believe their huge self belief or like us you will be having to buy a large expensive item ( IN Raro these are very expensive)should i ever leave this Island Paradise Crown will not be an option. Take my advice choose elsewhere

Do not use this company if you are moving to or from Auckland. They are unreliable, careless with your belongings and don't communicate with you or themselves. They broke a lamp within minutes of arriving in Auckland and hid it in the rubbish. They had a lazy 2nd day with endless breaks lying in the shade. They rushed on the third day and threw things in boxes unwrapped. One box containing random items had a completely glass large circular clock and 4 framed, glass fronted pictures thrown inside with no wrapping. Luckily coats in the boxes provided cushioning. We had lots of breakages, shoe racks that were too bent to fit back together, a children's drawing table with a broken leg, pedestal fan with crushed legs to name a few.
We opted for a shared 2nd container for non essential items that we wouldn't need for the first few weeks. They packed our beds, clothes, sofas, televisions and much more in the 2nd container and didn't tell us that we wouldn't have beds until 15 minutes before the container arrived in Nelson, after we had checked out of our hotel. I would not recommend this company if Auckland is part of your move. The Nelson end were informative, friendly and efficient.
