We had always loved this restaurant but the last two times we have come for a special celebration meal, we have been extremely disappointed. I ordered fillet steak wrapped in bacon cooked medium. It came with the bacon burnt to a crisp and cooked unevenly with one end well over cooked and tough and the other end closer to medium. my husband ordered the mixed grill . The lamb was tender as was the chicken, but again the steak was over cooked - it was ordered medium rare and came closer to medium/ well done. The beans with garlic and bacon were soggy and inedible and the mixedt roast veges consisted of mainly cubes of pumpkin with one tiny carrot and something else we couldn't identify it was so small. The duck roasted potatoes weren't crisp on the outside at all. Finally the creme brûlée was nice but the biscotti was soft and stale. Altogether not what we expect from what used to be our favourite restaurant!
Hi Fran, so sorry to hear this and we will definitely be discussing your review and improving on all these areas mentioned.
I'm just wondering what night you came in so I can identify which staff were working at that time. It shouldn't make any difference of course, as all staff should do what we and our customers expect.
It's so as we can address the actual issue with the right person.
I appreciate the feed back and we'll certainly be taking it seriously.
