Our Granddaughter has just finished her first swimming lessons, even though she is only 7 months old. The instructor was absolutely great, and had her confidence after the first lesson. The lessons are a tad expensive, but what price being able to swim properly?
Wave Rave is a really popular night activity for the kids. I have found the swim instructors to be really professional and make the lessons fun for the kids too. Only issue is the family changing rooms can be draughty for little ones.
Great pools! Our kids have swimming lessons here. They cater for birthday parties too and also have a pretty good cafe. Sometimes can get a bit whiffy with the chlorine smell but not too bad. Lots of pools to choose from too. Lane pool, family spa, adult spa, wave pool, lazy river, baby pool, kid's pool and another bigger warm one right at the end. Also have a gym and sauna!
A great place to take kids. There are so many different types of pools - two saunas, a hot pool, wave pool, lagoon and classic lap pool. I also like how they have family changing rooms and showers which make it easier for families and groups with kids. I remember going to the Wave Rave on Friday nights which was great for kids. The only downside is the smell of chlorine is very very strong. It can be almost suffocating if you're there too long.
Great for a rainy day activity or a winters day. Wave pool is great and they often have a blow up obstecial course for the kids as well which is always a hit. Also on a weekday they have aqua aerobics which is a great form of exercise. Only down side a bit to much Chlorine some times.
This is a great place for kids - they love it. The wave pool and lazy river are a big hit with my kids, The wave raves on Friday night are also great for older kids, they run from 7pm-9pm every Friday and are a lot of fun for the kids. Have always been happy with the food from the cafe too. Also have a good range of goggles and the staff are happy to help getting the right fit
This has now re-branded from ASB Aquatic Center to Richmond Aquatic and Fitness Center. Pretty good place for the kids. They love it. A lot of chlorine for me, but I have read somewhere that they have changed their formula recently and they don't use so much now. It can be really packed on a rainy weekend or school holidays. They also have a wave pool but often don't put it on until after 3 (except for school holidays?), so check before going if this is the drawcard for you.
