Riverside Cafe

This place has a classic NZ cafe menu. The milkshakes are always good.

Handy location for me, often walk from work but find the service frustratingly slow when you have ordered takeaway on a short lunch break. Other than that it's pretty good coffee!

Nice and tidy and I like the location it was a very easy find. The iced coffees are wonderful and you get that hit of coffee in there also. The food was nice too. Staff were a little slow on the service

I have eaten here several times. Different occasions, different family and friends. This time it was for brunch. My friend and I bought a big kiwi breakfast each (like an all day breakfast) and it was truly a generous meal. Absolutely delicious. All cooked well and not swimming in grease. Well presented. I struggled to eat it all ... but I did. It's in the marina area, so afterwards we went for a long stroll around this beautiful piece of waterfront.

Visited café for coffee and cake a few times during our visit.
Service good but a couple of minor points.
Overcharged for no apparent reason for 2 coffees purchased without extras. Refund given on request.
Secondly there is a loyalty card but you have to buy 9 coffees to get a coffee and then it is only up to a value of $4.30 which is a small coffee (even though you could have bought 9 medium or large coffees).
