Hospital Fish Shop & Takeaways

Great food and a handy location- had their chips while in hospital late at night but they still were amazing and the people were very nice! Good option for when you are in need

Situated in a tiny set of shops just down from Whangarei Hospital, the Hospital Fish and Takeaways shop is a godsend to, not only the locals, but people visiting family and friends in hospital at night, when all the hospital cafes have closed. European and Asian food is served but their fish and chips are beautifully cooked. Good prices and the owners are delightful.

Really good fish and chips, nice fresh fish and they cook it nice and crispy. Friendly staff.

Conveniently located just off main highway. Good selection of Chinese buffet and normal takeaways. Great service however the Chinese buffet options lacked flavor.
