      Dickens Inn is well known in Whangarei and has been around a long time. It is situated in a picturesque shopping lane (cobbled stones, Victorian-styled buildings). The prices are a little high, but as they are in the hub of the city, off Cameron Street Mall, I guess they have high rent. It was busy on the day we went, so had to settle for a table near the kitchen end. It was also near the side door, and we spent a lot of time batting flies away. If I was to go there again, I'd not settle for anything less than a table in the main restaurant. Otherwise, nice food.
