      Was happy with my order and the customer service. The staff were nice and friendly and the location is in the central, making it easy to get to from our house. Will go here again soon and highly recommend for people to try this place.

      we love Amici. Delicious food, a well thought of menu means that you can always have what you feel like, the specials durning the day are always moorish. The service is very good, friendly without being over bearing and always making sure your water glass is full.

      I ordered the $7 meditaranian side salad and asked for a little bit of extra lettuce and avacado which I was expecting to pay a few dollars extra for and my friend ordered a big $16 chicken salad (keep in mind mine is vegetarian-why I was expecting to pay $10 max for the salad with the extras).. I went to pay the bill and it seemed really dear.. I got back to my car, looked at the receipt and saw the girl who served me (Samantha) had charged me $18.50 for my SEVEN DOLLAR salad because I asked for extra lettuce and avocado.. I called up and the lady I talked to said she'd give me a refund and to go back in, so, I paid for parking again and went back to amici's only to be told I would not be getting a refund by the girl who served me (Samantha) and said she purposely charged me that much because I asked for extra lettuce and avocado.. the salad I got didn't even taste like it was worth $7 let alone $18.50! Lettuce and tomatos tasted old and the salad was REALLY salty..I only had a few mouthfuls and that was all I could eat of it as the saltiness was making me feel sick.. Really appalled and will definitely NOT be going back there!

      The Amici Italian Restaurant is located in Quality Street, which is a cobble-stoned, VIctorian-style street, in Whangarei's CBD. The decor inside is really nice but they also have an outside dining area, which lets you enjoy the lovely street and get added atmosphere from the many other restaurants in it. They sell lovely Italian dishes. I'm working my way through their menu - that's how lovely the food is. Highly recommended.
