There is such a lot to do here and see truly something for everyone ! It covers so much of New Zealand's natural history and the current exhibit was well worth the wait in the que , thank you !

Wow what a beautiful museum, loved so many of the displays, especially the Gallipoli one. The size of the soldier and the detail is incredible, take the time to read the display extracts as they are very moving and gives another level of understanding of the display and what the people involved in the war went through.

What a great museum to visit.....the World War I exhibition is very realistic and quite moving. We also loved the room with the memorabilia from the 50's and 60's. Could easily spend a day in this memorable place

You can't NOT go to Te Papa. It is simply one of the most amazing museums and experiences in New Zealand. Most of the exhibitions are free of charge, the staff are always friendly and the walls ooze in culture and history. I could (and have) spent hours here. Plenty for kids to see and do as well as adults. I especially enjoyed the Peter Jackson exhibition and the Ngati Toa one.

Came for the purposes of viewing the Gallipoli exhibition and was not disappointed. The 20min wait (I hate queuing) was well worth it. Was surprised at the extent of the exhibition. The weta workshop visuals and 3D maps were highlights.
