whats attractive about this meuseum is the interactive activities, it encourages young and old alike to take an interest in history and technology all of which are important aspects of our lives. interesting to is the display at the front of te papa which highlights the sructural design of the building to withstand seismic activity.

Spectacular displays and interactive boards filled with information. Very educational with beautiful scenery in the outdoor area. Also provides food in a cafe. I'd highly recommend, particularly for schools or small groups passing through.

We have just visited again for the third time in the last year. A fantastic place to look around and there always semms to b enew things to look at. The World War exhibitions are very realistic and quite moving really. We visit every time we goo to Wellington. This place is a must see.

Te Papa museum in my opinion is the best free museum in New Zealand, and gives visitors an introduction to the planet, it's origins, it's inhabitants and then onwards to the origins of New Zealand both geographically and culturally, before showing us more recent events within the history of New Zealand. There's a running exhibit on the second level about the experiences in the war of Gallipoli with beautiful structures made by Weta Cave (owned by Sir Peter Jackson), and currently, a paid exhibit for Lego lovers at the Let's Go Build Festival. Free WiFi is available throughout the museum, a cafe is also present on the same level as the Treaty of Waitangi display, and a gift shop on the second level. The museum is easy to reach and is just by the harbour front to allow for a leisurely stroll after a visit.
