Roxy Cinema

Visited here to see the Downton Abbey film. Very retro, art deco and boutique style, and different to your regular cinema visit. Good service, though not super friendly and tad reserved. Large drinks menu to choose from, as well as cafe cabinet type food, and a milkshake bar. Pity there is no popcorn available, which is really a part of the quintessential cinema experience. There is a cafe in the venue, which offers gourmet food. The atmosphere felt rather stiff, and not as exciting as it was expected for an art deco type cinema which dare's to be different. Nice cinema, with cosy seating, with the option of plush large seats or a sofa to share at the back. Small cinema space, but screen size is not lacking, and works out well. Enjoyed the film a lot.

So great having cheaper tickets on tuesdays. Seats are so comfy. Great size cinema. Even the "small" cinema is big enough

we went to the cafe here after we visited Weta workshop. Cute little cinema!
