Pickle & Pie

Food was great, we were all happy with what we ordered - I went for the fried chicken po'boy, which was delicious. A friend got the deli fries, which were also very good (if different to what we are used to - gravy and cheese?!) Special mention for the marshmallow which came with my Mocha - absolutely gorgeous, so soft and melting. Great friendly service too, when my friend asked if she could have a marshmallow as well, one was brought out to her. Also got a recommendation for a nearby gallery, which we followed up on.

Easily one of the best cafes in Wellington. Reuben is always amazing. Pies are delish and always a good selection of salads. Not always easy to get a table but the staff are always accommodating. Sweet treats are also very good and although I yet to try, I hear their take home dinners are just as good as their eat in ones.

There is quite a wait often though but the staff work hard to get you in sooner.
There isn’t a great variety really and it’s pretty expensive considering. I wouldn’t say the cost is worth what you get but it’s still delicious food. Don’t come here if you are really hungry but rather wanting a light meal.
