Enigma Cafe

A funky cafe in a good location right in the heart of Wellington. Really yum food and a good vibe inside, but the outside area hosts a number of pesky pigeons which is kinda gross

This place is usually busy so I try and arrive prior to especially busy times to get a table. It is not a quiet place particularly during busy times, however I go there for the food and service. Food is good value for money. They also have a decent variety of cakes! Service is usually quick. Dishes are cleared very quickly.

Excellent beetroot/vodka cured salmon with kifler potatoes, well-conceived and executed. Could come back here just to eat that dish again. Coffee could be better but to be fair there was a super long queue which may have affected the consistency. The serving size for the waffles is insanely huge!

Very tasty food and huge portions too. Staff can be a bit hit and miss and some are not all that friendly, vibe is grunge meets hipster. Great range of gelato!

Nice and central cafe, easy to pop in for lunch and to eat something from the counter, or to order something hot. Also a great selection of cakes and sweets.
