What I miss most about wellington. I lived across the lights in the apartments and this was our go to lunch stop. Pop across the road and get the chicken and falafel pita. AMAZING the pita bread is delicious and the best falafel I've ever tired.

We rarely travel to Newtown for a meal because we live on the other side of the city. This will definitely change now that our friends have introduced us to Café Laz!
They do takeaways and this may be a large part of their business, but out the back there is a beautiful small dining area.

For me the measure of a great Turkish restaurant is the quality of the Lamb shish, because frankly that is all I order. The lamb was tender and beautifully cooked. The accompanying salads are fresh and tasty and the dips: hummus and babaganoush were very tasty.
This place may look casual and inexpensive, but the quality far surpasses the decor.
