Why Best Ugly? Well, if you were punched, rolled, boiled and fired, you wouldn¿t look so great either. Don¿t worry, our Montreal-style bagels are deliberately manhandled ¿ hand rolled and cut, then simmered in sweet honey water. We then shove them into our custom-made stone oven which runs on New Zealand¿s greatest natural fuel ¿ Manuka hard wood. It¿s the rough and ready treatment that gives them their unique style and flavour. You know what they say. You always hurt the ones you love. And now we offer a gluten free bagel, and have worked up a new chocolate bagel, so no matter your taste, we have you covered.

Best bagels i have had. really awesome place and heaps of different options, definetly recomend if you want a good bagel.

freshly baked and not-too-doughy bagels that have fresh and tasty ingredients added to create a delicious meal, but also nice with a dollop of butter! Service is fast, staff are friendly and will return to try other offerings.

This place was super busy, but bagels are freshly baked in a large wood fired oven, absolutely wonderful flavours on the ones we tried, fantastic location just off Cuba st too, would recommend!

On the pricey side for a bagel but always fresh and delicious! They’re made right in front of you in a wood fire oven and also sell Iced Maple Coffees which are a must have on a nice Wellington day!

Love these bagels and the cool and hip people watching at this place. Fresh and quality bagels with great flavours. Good service and fair prices. You can eat there or take them home.
