Aunty Mena Vegetarian & Vegan Cafe

Went here for lunch with a couple of the cousins and really did not expect much from a shop where the inside resembled a local food outlet in Asia and that just served vegetarian food but I was pleasantly surprised.
We ordered the satay, the bbq steamed bun and the fried drumsticks for starters and the laksa, char keow teow and Nasi Lemak for mains.
All the food was exceptional and it did not feel at all that there was no meat. Everything was cooked really well with all the flavours these dishes would normally have. I was really impressed with the bbq steamed bun and the char keow teow.
We were there for lunch and this place was packed. Staff were still very curtious and polite even with all our ignorant questions on how these dishes would taste without meat.
It is really awesome that Wellington has a fully vegetarian restaurant which is not only busy bit serves really nice food

I absolutely love Aunty Mena's. its my home away from home when i need a soul fufilling meal. The staff there are lovely and cook some amazing vegan dishes. love you guys, thanks for making me and my tummy happy!!

We really enjoyed the vegan options here, although not full time it was great to see a dedicated cafe that served delicious food and coffee. Staff were friendly and very welcoming

Aunt Mena feels like I'm at my aunty's, although that's impossible culturally...! The food looks homey, the wall decor shows how down to earth and cosy the place feels. Great food, consistent and good prices.
