This is our favourite restaurant in New Zealand. Absolutely fabulous food. It doesn't matter what you order here and you will be happy with the freshness, creativity, presentation and taste of the dish. The service is unobtrusive and professional. Award winning chefs in the wilds of New Zealand. Idyllic setting. Don't all go at once or we will always need a reservation.

The Falls are not too large at this time of year but still very pretty. As usual people come from all around to eat and i hear there are one or two rooms for those who wish to stay the night as driving through the gorge is pretty hairy. Loved it

We stayed here while on the Hauraki Rail Trail, so arriving was like an Oasis nestled amongst the Trees. Our Host was so welcoming and helpful, the Cottage was just dreamy, pot belly Fire, decorated with attention to every detail.
We have been to their Excellent Restaurant so was why we came, but as closed we chose the lovely Dinner Hamper, which was just Devine. And Lovely outdoor area to enjoy a glass of Wine, it all made for a perfect choice.
Could not fault it, thank you.
