Absolutely outstanding service and food! Would highly recommend! Lamb chops superb six of us out for dinner and all raved about the entire experience!

A wild and windy day and Poppies was exactly what we needed. The soup of the day was carrot ginger and it came with cheese crusted bread. I had a small tossed salad to go with it. Great staff and service as well.

Stopped at poppies cafe & restaurant in Twizel for a meal and was very pleasantly surprised. We were greeted with a friendly and welcoming smile. The service was top notch and the food was amazing. We had the home made pasta with a side order of veggies and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Thumbs up to poppies and we will be back. The menu catered nicely for vegetarians also which suited us.

This was the highest rated restaurant in Twizel so we headed here for our first meal and were blown away. Every single dish is stunning and delicious beyond words. It is worth every cent and was the best meal we had had in a very long time. The venison pie is divine and the pork belly is cooked to perfection, while the date pudding is a work of art that pleases the eyes as well as the stomach. Combine the wonderfully crafted food with the warm fire and even warmer wait staff and you have a winning recipe. This is truly a 6 out of 5 stars experience, and I cannot recommend this place enough.
